By mixing tourmaline gemstones, which are fine particles in colours blue, violet, pink & black, the value of the work is increased with a mysterious and unique colour.

Tourmaline gemstones are polar crystals that conduct electricity because they are composed of elements such as iron, magnesium, alkali metals, and aluminium.

By analysing the chemical properties of pigments, Mijello we’re able to induce separation and combination, resulting in dramatic dual colours.
